WHO WE ARE
Walker Accounting Service, Inc. was organized in 2007 to provide accounting and income tax preparation for the community in conjunction with Walker Financial Services, Inc. James and Lou Ann Walker are accounting graduates and have a combined 14 years accounting/income tax experience. Most of their career has been working with small businesses and individuals. Services provided are income tax preparation, small business bookkeeping and payroll.
WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT
It’s our attitude of serving – and teaching – our clients while charging reasonable prices. As a client told us several years ago, we taught him in 6 months what the other accountant did in seven years. Working with the insurance agency we can often see the pieces come together.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What will you charge? We start at $35 for an EZ return with moderate pricing increases as the return is more complex. We should be 50% less than the base fee of a national tax service – excluding loan fees.
Why should I pay you when I can buy the program? Our prices should be about the same – maybe a little more if it’s a complicated return. With our agency, you get a professional that might be able to find or suggest ways to save you more money. Plus you don’t have to do it!!
Why don’t you offer refund loans? Refund loans are terrible for the consumer. In 2007, the government ordered the banks to lower the interest to 36% for military personnel and their dependents.
When are you open? ALL YEAR – at least five days a week. Can your tax preparer say that? Do you have a tax preparer?
